At Snowfest its always great to enjoy entertainment in our giant heated Entertainment Igloo. This entertainment venue hosts both ticketed and free entertainment. This year we have a great line-up of entertainment for all ages.

Suzie McNeil isa seasoned performer who was first introduced to the world stage as the lastwoman standing in the 2005 CBS hit reality series Rockstar:INXS. Since then she has released 3 albums inCanada which included her inspirational hit song ‘Believe’ and chart toppinghit ‘Supergirl’ which reached #3 and went gold in Canada.

In addition to herrole as a featured judge andmentor for 4 seasons on the ‘Idol-esque’ show forteens, YTV‘s ‘The Next Star’, Suzie’s most recent single ‘Merry Go Round’ hasreached the Top Ten on the charts and is one of the hit singles from herupcoming CD which will be released in February 2012.

Comedy comes to Snowfest

Canada is home to some of the worlds best comedians and this year we will be hosting an evening of comedy in the Snowfest Entertainment Igloo. The night will feature Nile Seguin and others. These very funny comedians will make you laugh all night long.

Nile’s style works on stage, television, radio and film. Besides performing to critical acclaim, Nile recently completed the Triple Crown of Canadian Comedy Festivals going to the Just for Laughs Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and the Halifax Comedy Festival in a single year. Nile has written for award winning national television for shows such as This Hour Has 22 Minutes and the Gemini Award wining The Hour (where he was a regular on air contributor). He also made his first film appearance in the critically acclaimed indie comedy Ham and Cheese. He is a regular on air contributor for CBC Radio and is also a writer on the radio sketch comedy show The Irrelevant Show which took home the bronze medal at the International Radio Broadcasting Awards in New York City.

Nile has performed at the Boston Comedy Festival, has twice been nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award and recently taped his first television special. Opening for Nile Seguin is Marilla Wex.

For 21 years, Sarnia Snowfest has wowed audiences by creating a wonderful winter wonderland. Every year we invite artists from all over the world to come and sculpt massive 8ft tall blocks of snow, turning them into wonderful works of art for all to enjoy. This winter carnival has grown over time and is a festival that is enjoyed by adults and children alike.

You can take a ride on the snow slide, go tobogganing on the berms in Centennial Park, eat lots of yummy food from one of our vendors, enjoy live entertainment in our large Entertainment Igloo and much much more.

Come out to Dow People Place and Centennial Park in Sarnia this January 16-22, 2012 to get in on all the action. Only $2 for Adults and $1 for Children, this affordable winter carnival has something fun for families and children of all ages.

Now in our 21st year, we have taken the festival to new heights this year as we add some super new features. Come out and try Olde Fashioned Snow Taffy, made right before your eyes. You can play in our giant snow castle, watch movies in the Igloo and much more.
